The Power of Flexible Forms

The most recent version of the MedaSystems software platform for Expanded Access includes new online Forms that enable Expanded Access teams to collect information they may need in order to reach approval decisions more quickly. The functionality allows Expanded or Managed Access teams to digitize their existing paper or PDF forms, quickly and easily.

Benefits

Forms within MedaSystems allow the collection of any type of information in an Expanded Access request, including patient medical histories, attestations, approvals, and lab results.

Forms enable teams to collect information more quickly, glean insights for better informed decision making, and ultimately position the patient to receive potentially life saving treatment in an expedited manner.

Because information is collected digitally, it can be shared with the click of a mouse, enabling efficient team decision-making while still adhering to SOPs.

These forms can be tailored for specific indications, from oncology to rare diseases, infectious diseases and more.

Forms and Workflows Work Together

A form can be linked to a workflow, to build an integrated information gathering process tailored to a specific type of Expanded Access request. Forms are easy to locate and share with another member of the clinician or sponsor team.

For example, in the checklist to the left, the user clicks on the pending task “Complete Patient Medical History”…

…and is taken directly to the associated form.

Real-World Data Collection

Because forms can be configured to collect any information, pharmaceutical companies can implement a structured and consistent approach to collecting and using real world data from Expanded Access treatments in a secure and compliant manner.

Transforming Expanded Access processes

The MedaSystems platform enables pharmaceutical companies to digitize their processes, and collect information, including real world data, more quickly and reliably. The digitization of data, and consequent improvement in understanding of how physicians are using treatments and how patients are responding, provides opportunities for insights into potential new indications and directions for clinical trials. This approach to online Expanded Access forms can strengthen a pharmaceutical company’s operations, while simultaneously expediting responses to patients and their physicians.
