MedaSystems V2.0 adds configurability and collaboration

The new version of our MedaSystems platform that allows pharmaceutical companies to handle requests for Expanded Access/Compassionate Use efficiently and securely is available today. The platform can be configured for global programs, and contains several new tools that we’re excited about as well as numerous improvements to the user experience. The new version is more configurable to unique business processes and allows robust data gathering.

Let's dive in:

Workflows

Organizing, tracking, and managing all appropriate tasks that need to be done in an expanded access case can be time consuming and not always clear for physicians and pharmaceutical companies. With that in mind, we are introducing Workflows!

MedaSystems Expanded Access workflows

A Workflow is a list of all tasks that need to be completed  to process a case.

Workflows enable pharmaceutical companies to define every task needed for various scenarios: requests originating within the US, requests originating from Canada, requests for oncology drugs, etc, can all have their own Workflows if the steps needed to complete those requests differ. The ability to allow pharmaceutical companies to define each set of tasks for each scenario (creating new Workflows), puts the power in the hands of pharmaceutical companies to define their own processes for any line of business or any standard operating procedure they might have.

Our new Workflow feature, combined with our user experience overhaul, makes it easier to see what action is needed in order to complete a case.

Configurable Forms

MedaSystems configurable forms allow for tailored data collection

Tailored data collection

Just as the process for review may vary, the data to be gathered may differ by drug or indication. To address this, we’ve created a flexible form builder, which allows the creation of unique in-app forms for collecting data.

This allows an Expanded Access program manager to easily gather and report on information, both during the medical review process and at resupply or during treatment. Not only are we digitizing the process for pharmaceutical companies from end to end, we also are empowering them with the ability to collect any type of information within these forms that may be useful in real-world data collection, research, compliance, or internal audit purposes.

Clinician Portal

Finally, we’re releasing a new Clinician Portal to support physicians and their staff in the expanded access process. The Portal allows physicians and their staff to create an account, submit applications, upload documents, complete forms, and complete tasks the pharmaceutical company might need in order to complete the application quickly.

Our goal is to make the expanded access process easier for all parties involved so that patients can receive life-saving treatment. Our new user experience, Workflows, Configurable Forms, and Clinician Portal, cut down on expanded access case processing times and improve the gathering and processing of data, thus unlocking insights into the patient experience.
